HYB: True Beginner’s Voiceover Workshop

‍***You have the option to join In Person (at Drama Inc) or Virtually.

Jill and Dan will talk you down “the yellow brick road” of voice acting: how to begin, how to support a healthy voice, script analysis, finding success, and choosing styles of VO that suit you. You’ll get your own time at the mic to record a script with direction and more to practice with. That recording will go to your email inbox plus a summary of your voice qualities and next steps!

This workshop opens the door for you to take Part 1: Getting Started In VO as well as Part 2: Working as a Voice Actor and Weekly VOWorkouts.

Jill Perry's been a pro VO actor for 29 years and has focused on commercials, IVR, On Hold, Medical, Corporate, Narration, Tutorials, eLearning, and character work. She came from the theatre program at KSU (and holds the first acting degree handed forthwith tootsuite) and musical theatre and will not stop talking.

She worked at Atlanta Voiceover Studio from 2018- today, has thoroughly cherished every class she’s taught non-stop over the last 8 years and never wants to stop teaching, coaching, guiding careers, creating demos, and mentoring. If this were a yearbook she’d write, “I love you, Heidi! AVS4EVR!”

Brands: Ford, Delta, Microsoft, Toyota, Hyundai, Jaguar, Pfizer, Timken, American Cancer Society, Kobo, a million doctors offices and hospitals, and let’s just say she’s talked for 30 years for a whole lotta brands.

Dan Fishman: After over 20 years on the road as a touring rock drummer, and spending countless hours in recording studios and radio stations, Dan stumbled his way into the world of voiceover. Since 2009 Dan has been a professional voice actor and voiced projects and commercials for brands like Cabela’s, Ford, Capital One, Tostitos, the ACC, and American Airlines. Dan has also been teaching and coaching voice acting since 2016.
